We Won't Give Up

As of this morning, Richard was transferred to his 3rd prison facility and I can't help but be frustrated for him. His journey has been prolonged, exhausting, and unpredictable.

His journey began at James Bailey Detention Facility, the jail. From then he went to Wasco State Prison, then Sierra Conservation Center, and is now at Chuckawalla, Valley State Prison.

We had been talking on his tablet, from 8 am-9 pm enjoying free 15-minute calls. The tablet doesn't allow phone calls from 4 pm-6 pm. We managed to text often, especially during this downtime.

Richard will have to sit in a holding cell once again, upon being taken there. He is getting rehoused yet again and it is a very dangerous time.

Lord knows when I will hear his voice again. I am praying a lot for his safety and for God to continue to provide miracles as He does in Richard's life.

I woke up early and texted him this morning as he was leaving until his tablet was finally taken from him.

I hope the CDCR website will be updated soon to his current facility and that I can call by tomorrow to get his housing information. Richard usually contacts me well before I get an email notification of a transfer and the website updates. I also had just ordered him two books that arrived Tuesday he never received. As well as a huge food order that will either be refunded or rerouted to him that shipped out a week ago.

It feels like everything I do to try to make it bearable in there, gets taken, or something goes wrong. But I am not giving up, and I know he isn't either.
